I grabbed this meme from Canada.
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your spring summer. Post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they’re listening to.
Some are not new, but they are in frequent rotation:
1. The Killers – “When You Were Young”
2. Steve Miller Band – “Space Cowboy”
3. U2 – “Beautiful Day”
4. Sting – “Fields of Gold”
5. Madonna and Justin Timberlake – “Four Minutes” (I know, I know, mock away)
6. Van Morrison – “Brown-Eyed Girl” (always a summer favorite)
7. Lenny Kravitz- “Fly Away”
And for a bonus, here is a song that I would be more than happy never to hear again:
1. Bubbly – Colbie Caillat (this answer is stolen directly from Canada, but I couldn’t agree more)
I don’t like to tag (too aggressive for me), but feel free to steal!

Ok, I’ll play:
1. Etta James: Inner City Blues (cover of an old Marvin Gaye tune)
2. Jason Mraz: Details in the Fabric (from his new album “We Dance, We Sing, We Steal Things”)
3. Coldplay: Vida La Vida/Violet Hill (from their new album)
4. U2: Until the End of the World (perpetual favorite)
5. Wilco: Hate it Here (from their latest, “Sky Blue Sky”)
6. Wailin’ Jennys: One Voice (finally broke down and got a couple of albums of theirs after going to Prairie Home Companion last month)
7. Ben Folds: Still Fighting It (from Rockin’ the Suburbs and also featured in Over the Hedge, as Boston reminds me every time he hears it)

Tyler, I know about two of those songs, but I’m so going to check them out online tomorrow. I implicitly trust your musical taste, Over the Hedge and all.
What’s “fwiw”? I’m guessing f=fuck, is usually the case, but I’m stumped by wiw. Fuck what is wrong? Fuck what I wrote? Fuck winkies in Word? It’s a puzzler
(intentional, rather than random, winkie)

I was so with you until number 7. I just can’t do Lenny (but I won’t hold it against you). Brown-Eyed Girl is always in frequent rotation around here!
And I’m guessing fwiw = for what it’s worth

Canada, you’re not holding JT and Madonna against me, so I can certainly forgive a little disagreement over Lenny. LOL. And thanks for clearing up, fwiw, but I kinda like mine better

fwiw is For What It’s Worth.
Lenny Kravitz rocks, btw. I saw Horde Fest back in ‘97 in Pittsburgh and Lenny and Blues Traveler were headliners. Totally Fucking Rocked! Lenny blew the roof off the place; couldn’t have been more awesome.

Tyler, you don’t have to convince me. My MP3 player is stocked with Lenny–some of my favorite workout music (that and Judas Priest’s Iron Man).
Maybe next I’ll do a list of my favorite workout songs.
